For New Yorkers, the holidays mean long lines, crowded subways and simply pure madness everywhere. Luckily, the stores on 5th Ave have once again outdone themselves with this years holiday themed window displays, so at least we’re surrounded by holiday cheer as we zig zag through the crowds of tourists and shoppers in midtown. Here is a list of the top 5 windows you MUST check the out this year, whether you’re a tourist or native!

Bergdorf Goodman
Bergdorfs has created their displays using over 7 million Swarovski crystals presenting different themes such as a prismatic cave, bedazzled suits of armor, life size lions, and a birthday ballroom with cakes and gifts coated in crystals.

Bloomingdales
For the unveiling of this years Bloomies window Sara Bareilles performed some live tunes from her new musical. The windows include mirrored sculptures and floral displays made by world renowned florist Jeff Leatham.

Lord & Taylor
The store created an opening event to celebrate and support their new partnership with Habitat for Humanity NYC. This is the 78th year that they’ve created animated displays which they consider a gift back to the city it calls home.

Macy’s
The Macy’s window displays this year are a tribute to the 50th anniversary of “A Charlie Brown Christmas” movie. Each of the six windows facing Broadway have displays depicting holiday adventures of Charlie Brown and the Peanuts crew.

Saks Fifth Avenue
Saks has transformed their entire front facade into a winter palace complete with crystal spires and a light show involving more than 250,000 illuminated elements.
They’ve created wintery versions of the worlds man-made wonders including an icy colosseum, and a snowy Great Wall of China.
